New features
We're very proud of them, and hope you enjoy them as much as we do!
¶ Forms redesign
Forms are one of Robin's essential widgets, which you use on a daily basis to enter information manually on the platform. The code has been entirely rewritten to adapt to the most modern standards. We've taken the opportunity to add a number of features that you've told us about:
- Two new form modes: asset deletion, by asset or by device. You can now delete assets with just two clicks from a dashboard, without having to go to the settings!
- Error messages rewritten for simplicity. No more incomprehensible error codes or unknown errors: now every possible error is listed and clearly displayed!
- Ability to move from one input field to the next using the “tab” or “enter” keys (useful, in particular, for input via scanners configured with these escape characters).
- A new way of entering numerical properties: you can now add, subtract or overwrite the entered value. This makes inventory management much easier, as you can declare entries and removals without having to do any calculations.

And, in a very near future version, you'll be able to discover the new configuration of this widget, which is currently under development and promises a simpler, more ergonomic configuration. We can't wait to introduce you to it!

Other news
Robin 2024.7 is packed with other exciting new features:
- A stronger password policy, with a higher minimum number of characters. This follows the recommendations of the last Pentest carried out last summer.
- New, higher-contrast color palette for creating new selection properties and displaying text breakdowns on KPI widgets.
- New KPIs available: it's now possible to calculate the median and standard deviation of a numerical property!
- Added support for special characters ( ) " ° in field names.
- Speed up the loading time of the history widget and move the time range out of the filters, into a separate menu, accessible via the calendar-shaped button.

Bug fixes

Find here the list of patches applied on this version :
- Certain KPI formulas that are double-divided into different asset types and that did not appear in the list when creating pie chart widgets or crosstabs are back!
- Bug on filters for numerical properties in table and map widgets: some of the proposed limits were incorrect
- It is again possible to historicize numerical properties, and historic fields correctly inherit modifications (units, new choices, etc.) from their parents
- Alerts :
- Some alerts with date conditions that didn't trigger correctly are now a thing of the past.
- The setting to send no more than one alert every X meant that alerts were sometimes generated too late. This is no longer the case.
- Corrected display of conflicts in scheduling widget step pop-ups.

¶ What's new in minor versions
¶ Version 2024.7.1 (deployed on December 16, 2024)
Small adjustments and corrections :
IoT field not updated : The "UID/Serial number" field in the V2 editing form was no longer updated following pairing/unpairing (introduced in 2024.7).
Error 500 : This was the case when deleting a form in Robin V1.
Condition not emptied : conditions on V1 forms did not clear when closing the editing pop-up.
Wrong color : the times in the date fields of the pop-up map were black instead of gray.
¶ Version 2024.7.2 (deployed on December 18, 2024)
New corrections to make life easier :
Unable to add an alert (Robin V2) with limited access to certain groups of rights (introduced in 2024.7).- The IoT field remains capricious : problem similar to 2024.7.1, but this time for the unpairing form (introduced in 2024.7).
broken formula KPI breakdowns : Not to allow a formula KPI to be split over a formula indicator, as this is not supported by Robin's KPI engine (introduced in 2024.6).
¶ Version 2024.7.3 (deployed on December 19, 2024)
And more corrections:
"Configuration undefined" error : appeared in the Robin V1 pairing form (introduced in 2024.6).
